Job description

Legal Compliance Support Specialist

Reporting to the Manager of Legal Compliance, the candidate will support multiple compliance activities across the organization, focusing on anti-corruption and economic sanctions due diligence. Responsibilities include accessing SharePoint compliance databases, supporting training and investigations, and assisting with antitrust, antiboycott, and export compliance regulations.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Perform due diligence reviews of clients, business associates, and representatives to ensure alignment with Bechtel’s ethical standards.
  • Research ethics and compliance regulations, policies, and practices.
  • Update legal databases with completed due diligence reviews.
  • Conduct Restricted Party’s List screenings and monitor status changes.
  • Coordinate updates of policies and procedures related to due diligence.
  • Provide guidance on due diligence requirements to legal and business teams.
  • Evaluate and communicate compliance risks to relevant teams.
  • Engage with personnel to mitigate ethics and compliance risks and ensure policy adherence.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or international equivalent.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Previous compliance experience in due diligence, with understanding of anti-corruption and sanctions laws in the U.S., U.K., and beyond.
  • Excellent research, organizational, and data analysis skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with due diligence software tools such as Navex, TradeSphere, World Check, and Interos.
  • Foreign language skills are a plus but not required.
