Job summary

Leisure People is seeking a Sales Manager to drive membership sales across two health and wellness centres located between Sunderland and Durham. You will lead a small team, personally meeting targets while coaching two membership advisors, and building partnerships with local businesses and community groups.

The role requires hands-on sales, weekend flexibility, and a genuine interest in health and fitness.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years senior sales/sales management experience.
• Strong track record in hitting membership sales targets.
• Willing to work weekends and shifts (9am–8pm Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm Sat/Sun).
• Interest in health and fitness.

Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed monthly sales targets personally and for the team.
• Lead and coach a team of 2 membership advisors.
• Develop and implement sales plans and campaigns with regional/contract sales manager.
• Convert digital and incoming leads; manage reach and referral campaigns.
• Develop corporate and community partnerships.
• Collaborate with Centre Manager and Heads of Departments.
• Manage own rota; expect to work 1 weekend in 3.

Sales Manager: Dual site Sales Manager £30K basic OTE £35K

I am looking for a sales manager to lead the sales performance across two sports and wellness centres located between Sunderland & Durham.

Both centres boast ultra-modern gyms that features all the latest strength and cardio equipment, one site boasts a brand-new 25m community swimming pool, learner pool, sauna and steam room. The combined offering provides a great range of indoor and outdoor sports and activities, group fitness classes, indoor bowls and a skate park. There is also an outdoor 3G pitch which is used for rugby, football and athletics too.

Key responsibilities

As sales manager you will be hands on, selling memberships whilst also coaching and supporting a team of 2 membership advisors. Key responsibilities include:

• To meet and exceed monthly sales targets both personally and for the team.
• Working with the regional/contract sales manager to implement sales plans and campaigns.
• Converting both digital and incoming leads, managing in reach and referral campaigns.
• Developing and building both corporate and community partnerships.
• Work closely with the Centre Manager and HODs within the club.
• Responsible for your own rota, expected to work 1 weekend in 3.

You will work a 40-hr week, 5 days out of 7 and on shifts between the hours of 9am -8pm Mon to Fri. 9am -5pm at weekends. You will be expected to work a minimum of 1 weekend in 3.

Salary & benefits:

• The basic salary is up to £30k as a basic, depending on experience with a great commission structure that will take your OTE to up to £35,000 OTE.
