B. Braun Sterilog Pudsey is seeking a Production Technician & Driver to operate washer disinfectors and sterilisers, while also transporting surgical instruments to customer hospitals. The role combines production and delivery duties with a requirement for flexibility across shifts.

You will work on decontamination and distribution, ensuring instruments are clean, safe and delivered on time. A full UK driving licence, attention to detail, and strong communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence is required.
• Experience driving as part of a similar role is preferred.
• Ability to follow procedures accurately and work methodically.

Responsibilities

• Production & Decontamination: Dismantle and prepare used surgical equipment for decontamination; manually clean heavily contaminated instruments; load medical devices into washer disinfectors; carry out quality inspections; assemble and package trays; check sterilised goods and documentation; load equipment for dispatch.
• Driving & Logistics: Safely transport surgical instruments between the decontamination facility and hospitals; load/unload and handle instrument trays; ensure timely delivery within healthcare delivery timescales; perform daily vehicle inspections; maintain vehicle cleanliness; keep transport records; follow planned routes while adapting to conditions; represent the company on visits to customer sites.
