We are seeking adedicated and proactive Design & Technology Technicianto support our outstanding DT department starting inSeptember 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to become a key member of a creative and forward-thinking team in a well-resourced and supportive school in theLondon Borough of Islington.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, maintain, and organise tools, materials, and equipment for practical lessons across a range of DT disciplines (including Resistant Materials, Graphics, Textiles, and Food Technology)
  • Assist teaching staff during practical lessons, ensuring a safe and effective learning environment
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety in all workshops and practical spaces
  • Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs on tools and machinery
  • Support pupils in developing practical skills where required

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience in a school workshop or similar technical environment (desirable but not essential)
  • Strong practical skills and an understanding of DT equipment and processes
  • A commitment to safe working practices and a sound knowledge of health & safety requirements (e.g., COSHH, CLEAPSS)
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • A willingness to learn and contribute to the wider school community

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
