Job description

An opportunity has arisen for a part-time Technician to support the busy and vibrant Design Technology Department at Nailsea School.

We strive to achieve excellence for all students through outstanding teaching and learning, and are now looking for a self-motivated, organised, and confident DT Technician to assist the teaching staff to enable this.

The technician role involves the preparation of resources for and within lessons, maintenance and set-up of equipment, and support to teachers within lessons, as directed.

Candidates will need to demonstrate:

  • Problem solving and ability to prioritise tasks
  • High levels of organisation
  • Communication and teamwork
  • Ability to work under own initiative

Part-time, 20 Hours per week, during term time, plus 3 INSET days

Grade 12, (Points 12 -19) Salary £27,711 - £31,067

Actual starting salary £12,864 per annum (pay award pending)
