Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a DT Technician is beneficial, but not essential.
  • A genuine interest in Design Technology and working with young people.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

Are you passionate about Design Technology and ready to support creative learning in schools? Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable DT Technicians to work with a range of mainstream secondary schools across Southeast London, including Bexley.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work flexibly in your local area while gaining valuable experience in dynamic school environments.

As a DT Technician, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing materials, tools, and equipment for practical lessons

  • Supporting teachers during DT sessions, including woodworking, electronics, and textiles

  • Ensuring classrooms and workshops remain safe, organised, and fully stocked

  • Assisting students in developing their practical skills and creative projects
