About this Role

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and reliable part-time Design & Technology Technician to join a highly successful Visual Arts Faculty.

  • Support the 3D Design (wood/metal crafts) teachers to assist in preparation of lesson materials, handle stock and data, create learning displays, support student activity in lessons and maintain a safe organised working environment for staff and students.
  • Responsible for maintenance of the laser cutter, tools and equipment and ensure that the workshop is in good working order.
  • An awareness of the importance of health and safety within a school environment is essential.

The position would ideally suit someone with a background in practical craft or engineering, looking for a creative post with diverse responsibilities, along with the rewards of contributing to the education of young people.

The successful candidate will be an energetic, hard-working, creative and adaptable individual with the ability to demonstrate initiative and work co-operatively within a team.
