Your Role as a Design & Technology Teacher:

  • Teach a broad curriculum, including Product Design, Engineering, Graphics, and Resistant Materials.
  • Encourage students to develop creativity, technical skills, and an understanding of real-world applications of design and manufacturing.
  • Support students in achieving high standards of coursework and examination results.
  • Organise and participate in extracurricular clubs, competitions, and STEM events to enhance students' learning experience.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to continuously improve teaching methods and resources.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • A qualified Design & Technology Teacher with QTS (or working towards it).
  • Strong subject knowledge and experience in teaching across different areas of DT, such as Product Design, Engineering, or Resistant Materials.
  • A passion for hands-on, practical learning and the ability to inspire creativity in students.
  • The ability to differentiate lessons to cater to a range of abilities and learning styles.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to contributing to the wider school community.
  • An Enhanced DBS Check (or willingness to obtain one).
