DT Teacher – South Sheffield | Elevate Supply

Elevate Supply is excited to be working in partnership with a creative and forward-thinking secondary school in South Sheffield to recruit a dedicated and inspiring DT Teacher. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with a passion for Design & Technology to step into a full-time teaching role in a supportive and well-resourced school environment.

This full-time role is set to start immediately after the May half term and will continue until the end of the autumn term, with strong potential for extension or progression into a longer-term or permanent position.

???? Pay Rate: £140 – £200 per day, depending on experience and qualifications.

The Role:
As a DT Teacher, you will deliver engaging and practical lessons across KS3 and KS4, inspiring students to develop both creative and technical skills. You will work within a committed department with access to excellent facilities and resources.

Your Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality DT lessons across product design, resistant materials, or similar disciplines

Create a safe, structured, and stimulating workshop/classroom environment

Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support

Prepare resources and ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines

Collaborate with other subject teachers to enrich cross-curricular links

Inspire students with real-world applications of design and innovation

What We’re Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in DT or a related field

Recent experience teaching DT in a secondary school setting (KS3 & KS4)

Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills

Creativity, initiative, and a passion for hands-on learning

A professional and adaptable teaching approach

An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
