Job description

Are you a passionate and dedicated Design & Technology teacher looking for a new opportunity? We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative DT Teacher to join our supportive and vibrant school community in Rochdale on a maternity cover basis. If you have a strong knowledge of Design & Technology, excellent classroom management skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality education, we would love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Design & Technology to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
  2. Assess, track, and report on student progress.
  3. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  4. Work collaboratively with the DT department and other staff members.
  5. Ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
The Ideal Candidate:
  1. A qualified teacher with experience in teaching Design & Technology.
  2. Strong communication skills and a passion for fostering creativity and critical thinking.
  3. Ability to inspire and engage students in a range of DT topics, including Resistant Materials, Product Design, and Food Technology.
  4. A proactive and adaptable approach to teaching and classroom management.
  5. Experience with the use of practical equipment and software for DT lessons.
