This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) to step into a role where you can share your knowledge, inspire learners, and shape future pathways into engineering and design.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • As a DT Teacher (Engineering), you will: Teach Design & Technology with a focus on Engineering across Key Stages 3 and 4.

  • Plan and deliver engaging, practical, and theoretical lessons that spark curiosity and innovation.

  • Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to meet the needs of all learners.

  • Prepare students for assessments and support them in achieving their academic goals.

  • Maintain a safe and organised workshop/classroom environment, promoting health and safety at all times.

  • Monitor, assess, and provide constructive feedback on student progress.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to curriculum development and extra-curricular opportunities.

The Successful DT Teacher Will Have
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) with a specialism in DT/Engineering (ECTs are encouraged to apply)

  • Experience teaching Engineering or related DT subjects up to Key Stage 4 (KS4)

  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for engaging students in STEM pathways

  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
