Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. partners with a school in Alfreton to recruit a Design Technology teacher. The role covers KS3/KS4 with a focus on practical design and real-world skills.

The school welcomes applications from teachers with specialisms in RM, Textiles, Product Design, Food Tech, Graphics, Electronics or Engineering. The successful candidate will contribute to a growing DT department, uphold health and safety in workshops, and engage students toward technical qualifications.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching Design Technology to KS3/KS4.
• Ability to teach across specialisms including RM, Textiles, Product Design, Food Tech, Graphics, Electronics or Engineering.
• Commitment to developing a high-quality STEM curriculum.

Design and Technology Teacher - Key Responsibilities:

• Teach DT across Key Stages 3 & 4, with a focus on practical application, including Product Design, Graphics or Systems (depending on your specialism)
• Deliver engaging lessons that integrate real-world technical and design skills
• Support students working towards technical qualifications and industry-standard outcomes
• Contribute to the development of a high-quality STEM curriculum that reflects current industry practices
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed in all workshop and classroom activities
