Design & Technology Teacher – Pickering
Location: Pickering, North Yorkshire
Contract Type: Full-time (Part-time considered)
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £140 - £200 per day (dependent on experience)

Are you a creative and driven DT teacher looking for your next opportunity in North Yorkshire? Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a forward-thinking secondary school in Pickering who are seeking a Design and Technology Teacher to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire the next generation of designers, engineers, and innovators in a supportive and well-resourced department.

About the Role:

  • Deliver engaging DT lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Specialism in Resistant Materials, Product Design, or Engineering is desirable
  • Plan, prepare and assess work in line with curriculum requirements
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support student progress and development

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised in the UK
  • Experience teaching DT at secondary level
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for the subject
  • A proactive approach and excellent classroom management skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
