Job description

Are you a passionate and dynamic Design and Technology (DT) teacher looking for a new and exciting opportunity starting in September?

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a secondary school based in Crewe who are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated DT teacher to join in September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of our students, helping them develop essential practical skills while fostering their creativity and problem-solving abilities.

About the role:

  • Start- date: 1st September
  • Long-term/permanent opportunity
  • Salary between £30,000 to £40,000 (dependent on experience)

As a Design and Technology teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, encouraging students to explore their creativity and practical skills in various DT disciplines. You will monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students improve and achieve their potential. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of the department’s curriculum, ensuring it remains engaging and aligned with current industry practices. You will also provide pastoral support for students, helping them build confidence and resilience in their learning journey.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant DT degree or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in teaching Design and Technology at secondary level (Key Stage 3 and 4).
  • A passion for inspiring students and fostering a love of design and problem-solving.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to professional development and a desire to contribute to the wider school community.
