Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Training Consultant to deliver DSAT-based training solutions for a UK defence client. You will design, deliver, and assure training in line with JSP 822 and DSAT, collaborating with SMEs, trainers and assurance teams to meet operational needs.

The role requires analysing training requirements, developing objectives and assessments, and maintaining records. Mostly remote with some on-site visits, 12-month contracts, Inside IR35 at £60-70 per hour.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of DSAT and JSP 822 principles.
• Experience applying DSAT across analysis, design, delivery and evaluation.
• Proficient in Training Needs Analysis and developing training requirements.
• Solid understanding of instructional design and adult learning principles.

Responsibilities

• Apply DSAT methodology across training design and development lifecycle.
• Conduct needs analyses and identify performance requirements and gaps.
• Develop and maintain training specifications and documentation.
• Collaborate with SMEs to define learning objectives and assessments.
• Design learner-focused training solutions aligned to operational needs.
• Support training strategies including formative and summative assessments.
• Ensure training products meet Defence standards and are quality assured.
