Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd is recruiting up to 5 DSAT Training Specialists for a UK defence client in Bath. The role covers design, development, delivery and assurance of training in line with JSP 822 and the DSAT framework, to support the Submarines enterprise.

You will collaborate with SMEs, stakeholders and training teams to translate requirements into evidence-based training, including needs analysis, objectives and assessment strategies. Roles are mostly remote with some on-site visits.

Qualifications

• Strong practical knowledge of JSP 822 and DSAT.
• Experience applying DSAT to analysis, design, development, delivery and evaluation.
• Experience conducting Training Needs Analysis (TNA).
• Knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles.
• Experience developing learning objectives and assessment strategies.

Responsibilities

• Apply DSAT methodology and JSP 822 across the training design lifecycle.
• Conduct and support training needs analysis and identify learning gaps.
• Develop and maintain training requirements and documentation.
• Work with SMEs to identify objectives and assessment requirements.
• Design learner-focused, measurable training aligned to operational needs.
• Support training and assessment strategies and methods.
• Ensure training products meet Defence standards and quality requirements.
• Provide DSAT advice to project teams and stakeholders.
• Support validation and evaluation activities using evidence and feedback.
• Maintain training records, documentation and audit trails.
• Contribute to training assurance activities and reviews.
• Identify risks and opportunities in delivery and elevate appropriately.
