Location: Remote working with some travel near Reading when required (minimal)

Role details:
Our client, a leader in the defence and security sector, is looking for a Courseware Designer and Analyst to join their teams on a contract basis. This role involves remote working with minimal travel to sites near Reading. This is a six-month contract opportunity.

Responsibilities:

To develop training courseware through the analysis, design, maintenance, review, and production of DSAT Documentation & processes for military training. Main duties include leading or being part of a team to:

  • Work as a member of a team responsible for the analysis, design, maintenance, review, and production of DSAT Documentation & processes for military training sites and organisations.
  • Identifying and articulating responses to new or changing training requirements, which may arise from analysis of customer specifications.
  • Analysing, capturing and articulating training needs arising from new or changing requirements.
  • Inform on the optimum training solution(s) to meet the Authority's training requirements, balancing time, cost and quality, and define the training solution at the appropriate level of detail to enable Training Design to commence.
  • Producing, maintaining and/or updating Training Design from: Formal Training Statement (FTS) (including the Training Performance Statement (TPS), Training Objectives (TOs), Workplace Training Statement (WTS), Residual Training Gap Statement (RTGS so that they adequately and accurately reflect the Authority's requirement.
  • Carry out Knowledge, Skills and Attitude/Attribute (KSA) Analysis to determine accurate complication of a comprehensive Learning Scalar (LScalar) to accurately reflect the Authority's training need.
  • Requesting and reviewing existing training documentation as required.
  • Interviewing subject matter experts to collate required data as required.
  • Participating in internal workshops to discuss and agree findings from analysis and writing reports on the findings of the analysis.
  • Any other duties required to support the evaluation of course data

Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent communication skills at all levels both internally and within the customer organisation.
  • Experience in training analysis and have contributed to the analysis of significant training courses.
  • Experienced and capable of working autonomously and within a team.
  • Detailed knowledge and practical experience of UK Ministry of Defence procedures and policies Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT).
