Duration: 6 month contract

Role details:
Our client, a leader in the defence and security sector, is currently seeking a DSAT Courseware Designer for a contract position. This role involves remote working with minimal travel to sites near Reading. This is a six-month contract opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work as a member of a team responsible for the analysis, design, maintenance, review, and production of DSAT Documentation & processes for military training sites and organisations.
  • Producing, maintaining and/or updating Training Design from: Formal Training Statement (FTS), Training Performance Statement (TPS), Training Objectives (TOs), Workplace Training Statement (WTS), Residual Training Gap Statement (RTGS) to delivery of Assessment Strategy (AStrat) and Assessment Specification (ASpec), Learning Specification (LSpec), Training Authorisation Document (TrAD) in DSAT compliant course templates.
  • Interviewing subject matter experts to collate required data.
  • Participating in internal workshops to discuss and agree findings from analysis.
  • Upkeep, update, and revalidation of course syllabi and standards, trainer competence, qualification and experience requirements.
  • Conducting the upkeep, update, and revalidation of course information, including course size limits, health and safety, relevant rules and regulations, course length, and required support and resources.
  • Updating Training Design materials to incorporate relevant recommendations and feedback from internal and external assurance.
  • Identifying opportunities for accreditation for new and/or amended training and any implications for existing accreditations following Training Design changes.
  • Championing a culture of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Any other duties required to complete the CMDC Training Service.
Job Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels both internally and within the customer organisation.
  • Experience in course design and having contributed to the design of significant training courses.
  • A good working knowledge of the training design and development processes for training media.
  • Experienced and capable of working autonomously and within a team.
  • Experience in organisational design and development.
  • Experience in the development of apprenticeship qualifications.
  • Degree level education in a relevant area.
  • Teaching and training development qualification at degree level.
  • Human Resource Development qualification and experience.
  • Membership of an appropriate professional body such as CIPD.
