SGC Security Services is seeking a DS Licensed Security Officer to join our team in Wrexham. You will patrol hospital premises, control access, respond to incidents, and write concise reports to support NHS security. The role requires a valid SIA DS licence, 1 year of security experience, and a reliable means of transport.

The schedule is 4 on/off with 12-hour day/night shifts; full-time with PAYE pay. We offer ongoing training, uniform, holiday pay and a pension scheme, and a supportive team

Qualifications

• Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence (required)
• Minimum 1 year security experience (hospital or public sector preferred)
• Enhanced DBS (EDBS) check (required)
• Excellent communication and report writing skills
• Physically fit for regular foot patrols and long periods of standing
• Polite, well-presented, well-spoken, friendly, and assertive
• Ability to show empathy and patience, especially with vulnerable adults
• Welsh language skills preferred but not essential
• Access to own vehicle (required)

Responsabilités

• Conduct high visibility internal and external patrols to maintain hospital security
• Manage access control, including locking and unlocking buildings
• Respond to and manage incidents involving violence and aggression
• Provide a visible, approachable presence for NHS staff, the public, and vulnerable patients
• Write accurate reports and maintain digital site records
• Support fire safety and emergency procedures as required
• Uphold SGC Security Services’ professional standards and client service
• Perform additional security duties as required by the contract
