Job Details: Drug and Alcohol Practitioner - Opiates (Seacroft)

Waythrough, launched in October 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship, aims to break down barriers that prevent people from accessing support to live fulfilling lives. We address poverty and disadvantage in communities through mental health, drug and alcohol, housing, and related support services.

We operate nearly 200 services across England with approximately 3,500 staff and volunteers, supporting around 125,000 people annually.

As we integrate our systems and approaches following the merger, some branding may still reflect 'Humankind'.

Position: Drug and Alcohol Practitioner - Opiates (Seacroft)

Vacancy No: VN5102

Employment Type: Permanent

Hours per Week: 37

Work Pattern: Monday to Friday, with one late shift (Wednesday or Thursday 11:30 am - 7 pm) or an alternative schedule (9 am - 7 pm with early finish)

Location: Irford House, Seacroft Crescent, Leeds, LS14 6PA

About the Role

We are seeking a Drug and Alcohol Recovery Coordinator to join Forward Leeds within the Active Team at Irford House, working with clients dealing with opiate dependence. This dynamic role involves:

  • Managing caseloads through developing, reviewing, and implementing recovery plans.
  • Facilitating client engagement and progression into structured treatment.
  • Supporting clients through various treatment stages, from assessment to exit and aftercare.
  • Contributing to harm reduction efforts.
  • Collaborating with partners and colleagues to optimize health and wellbeing outcomes.
Candidate Requirements

Desirable qualifications and experience include:

  • Experience managing a caseload.
  • Knowledge of substance misuse.
  • Experience supporting vulnerable individuals affected by alcohol or drugs.
  • A relevant qualification in Health and Social Care.
