Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a dedicated, enthusiastic, and resourceful Drug and Alcohol Support Worker to join our team. This role is based within a dynamic and challenging prison environment, working as part of Spectrum’s prison-based Drug & Alcohol recovery-focused treatment model. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of high-quality support across key elements of the service, including assessment, case management, psychosocial interventions, release planning, and throughcare.

This Support Worker role offers the opportunity to work closely with a team of Recovery Coordinators within a busy prison-based Drug & Alcohol Service. The post holder will help deliver services that support individuals in their recovery, improve outcomes, and facilitate successful reintegration into the community. Under the guidance of the Drug & Alcohol Service Manager (Recovery), Senior Practitioners, and other managers, the Support Worker will work collaboratively within the wider team to maintain high standards of service delivery. The role involves working with partner agencies to provide meaningful interventions that motivate and support service users throughout their recovery journeys.

This position requires a strengths-based, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented approach, recognizing service users as active participants in their own health, wellbeing, and recovery. The Support Worker will also support adherence to HR processes as directed by management and organizational policies.
