Our Volunteer Lock Keepers are a vital part of the Canal & River Trust’s operations in the capital, supporting boaters and maintaining well-loved sites across Camden, St Pancras, City Road, Old Ford (Locks 8 & 16), and our newest site at Limehouse Lock.

Why we want you
The Drop-in Role is all about getting a taste of volunteering at the Trust, joining us at your leisure to take part in one of our Welcome Sessions or other volunteering opportunities. If you’re joining us for the first time, this is a great opportunity to get involved.
We have a host of easy-to-access volunteer opportunities that will help make a huge impact on your local canal, without requiring a long-term commitment.
