Job Description:

My Four Wheels is one of the most trusted and fastest-growing driving schools in the UK, currently with 200 driving instructors on the road and hundreds in training who will be hitting the roads soon.

There is a record number of learner drivers needing instruction due to test centre backlogs caused by COVID-19.

Over the past 12 months, our driving instructors' hourly rates have increased by an average of £3 due to high demand.

Additionally, over 70% of our instructors have waiting lists, some as long as 6 months. There has never been a better time to become a driving instructor.

Are you reliable? Do you have good customer service skills? Do you enjoy working with new people? If yes, then this could be the right career for you.

Anyone can become a driving instructor. We have recruited people from various industries, including:

  • Driving (HGV, delivery, van, LGV, bus drivers)
  • Finance (managers, accountants, analysts, supervisors, directors)
  • IT (support, cybersecurity, web design, engineering, development)
  • Health (care assistants, managers, trainers, doctors, nurses)
  • Education (teachers, teaching assistants, admin officers, PAs, lecturers)

Full training is provided, conducted locally where possible. We have pass rates well above the industry average, and we refund all training fees when you work with us.

To qualify as a driving instructor, you must:

  • Have held a full UK driving licence (or approved foreign licence) for at least 2.5 years
  • Not have been banned from driving in the last 4 years
  • Have no more than 6 points on your licence
