Job Description:

My Four Wheels is one of the most trusted and fastest-growing driving schools in the UK, with 200 driving instructors currently on the road and hundreds in training who will be hitting the roads soon.

There is a record number of learner drivers needing teaching due to test centre backlogs caused by COVID-19.

In the last 12 months, our driving instructors' hourly rates have increased by an average of £3 due to high demand.

Over 70% of our driving instructors have waiting lists, some as long as 6 months. There has never been a better time to become a driving instructor.

Are you reliable? Do you have good customer service skills? Do you enjoy working with new people?

If you answered yes, this could be the right career for you.

Anyone can become a driving instructor. Recent recruits come from industries such as:

  • Driving (HGV driver, delivery driver, van driver, LGV driver, bus driver)
  • Finance (finance manager, accountant, analyst, supervisor, director)
  • IT (support, cybersecurity, web design, engineering, development)
  • Health (care assistant, care manager, trainers, doctors, nurses)
  • Education (teacher, teaching assistant, admin officer, lecturer)

We provide full training, conducted locally where possible. Our pass rates are above industry average, and we refund all training fees when you work with us.

To qualify as a driving instructor, you must:

  • Have held a full UK driving licence (or approved foreign licence) for at least 2.5 years
  • Not have been banned from driving in the last 4 years
  • Have no more than 6 points on your licence
