Position: Driver & Warehouse Assistant (Part Time)

Salary: £12.40 Per Hour

Hours: 30/week MON-FRI 07:30-13:30 *NO WEEKENDS!

Location: Williams,Williams, E1/E2, Grafton Way, Basingstoke, RG22 6HY

We're looking for a Driver & Warehouse Assistant to join our friendly and busy team in Basingstoke! You’ll be prominently making deliveries (80% of the time), as well as occasionally getting involved in preparing goods for deliveries between runs and during quiet periods (20% of the time), so a good attention to detail and excellent customer service skills are a must!

Whilst overtime is not guaranteed, it is occasionally available during particularly busy periods. Therefore, some degree of flexibility from the successful applicant is highly desirable.

If you also have previous exposure of working within: delivery driving, warehousing, builders merchants or wholesaler, DIY, Hardware, plumbing and heating merchants, or on the tools in the plumbing and heating trade, we would LOVE to hear from you!

As a Driver & Warehouse Assistant you'll be:

• Delivering orders safely, efficiently and with the excellent customer service.
• Using forklifts (if qualified / once we train you) and other mechanical aids.
• Helping to keep the warehouse clean, tidy and a safe.
• Picking goods and preparing orders for delivery.
• Receipting, storing and replenishing goods.
• Undertaking inventory control.

Ideally, you are:

• Capable of working in what can sometimes be a physically challenging role.
• Able to learn in-house IT systems with sound basic computer literacy.
• Highly accurate in your approach to work with good attention to detail.
• Respectful in adhering to Health & Safety guidelines at all times.
• Keen to meet deadlines with a flexible approach to daily tasks.
• Passionate about delivering excellent customer service.
• A great team player who makes a positive contribution.
