Job summary

U-Drive Vehicle Hire in Southampton is seeking a friendly Driver/Valeter to support a 45-hour week on a Monday to Saturday rolling rota. You will drive, deliver, and valet vehicles, ensuring they are clean, checked, and customer-ready for rentals.

The ideal candidate will hold a full UK driving license, have a can-do attitude, and deliver excellent customer service while working as part of a team. Training and progression opportunities are available.

Responsibilities

• Drive, deliver, and/or collect vehicles as directed.
• Clean and valet vehicles to U-Drive standards.
• Conduct end-of-hire vehicle checks for damage.
• Complete drivers' logs and branch sign-in/out.
• Perform pre-rental and post-rental vehicle inspections, reporting faults and damage.
• Park vehicles in designated areas.
• Assist customers by showcasing vehicles and explaining controls.

About The Role

As a Driver/Valeter at U-Drive, you'll play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our Southampton branch, working a 45-hour week on a Monday to Saturday rolling rota. This position involves driving responsibilities alongside vehicle valeting tasks to ensure our rental vehicles are well-maintained and customer ready. Whether delivering vehicles to branches or directly to customers, your attention to detail and commitment to customer service are paramount.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive, deliver, and/or collect vehicles as directed
• Clean and valet vehicles to U-Drive standards
• Conduct end-of-hire vehicle checks for damage
