Job summary

Activate Group is seeking a Driver/Valet in Newcastle upon Tyne to support timely delivery and collection of customer vehicles, explain repair processes, and ensure high standards of service. The role includes cash handling, paperwork accuracy, and liaison with the Bodyshop Manager across sites.

Based at Unit 2 Balliol Business Park, Benton Lane, the driver will operate 45 hours weekly Mon-Fri, with real living wage considerations and opportunities for progression within Activate Accident Repair

Qualifications

• Must have full valid driving licence with appropriate class for duties.
• Experience coordinating logistics and vehicle handling is required.
• Experience assessing vehicle condition and readiness for delivery is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out collection and delivery of customers vehicles as scheduled, with relevant paperwork and payment collection.
• Drive vehicles safely and report faults, considering weather and traffic conditions.
• Ensure documentation is correct when transferring vehicles and report accidents to Bodyshop Manager.
• Collect payments and receipts and follow financial procedures on return to the office.
• Gather customer paperwork from reception and check for damage before delivery of courtesy cars.
• Notify customer and reception of any delays and complete all paperwork with the customer present.
