Job Description

My Four Wheels is one of the most trusted and fastest-growing driving schools in the UK, with 200 driving instructors currently on the road and hundreds more in our training programme who will be hitting the roads shortly. There is currently a record number of learner drivers needing instruction due to test centre backlogs caused by COVID-19. Over the past 12 months, our Driving Instructors' hourly rates have increased by an average of £3 due to high demand. Additionally, over 70% of our Driving Instructors have waiting lists, some as long as 6 months. This is an excellent time to become a driving instructor.

Are you reliable, punctual, patient, and possess good customer service skills? Do you enjoy working with new people? If yes, this could be your new career. People from various industries have recently become driving instructors, including:

  • Finance industry (finance manager, accountant, analyst, supervisor, director)
  • IT industry (support, cybersecurity, web designer, engineers, developers)
  • Health industry (care assistant, care manager, trainers, doctors, nurses)
  • Education industry (teacher, teaching assistant, admin officer, lecturer)

Full training is provided, conducted locally whenever possible. Our pass rates are well above the industry average, and we refund all training fees when you work with us.

To qualify as a Driving Instructor, you must:

  1. Have held a full UK driving licence (or approved foreign licence) for at least 2.5 years
  2. Not have been banned from driving in the last 4 years
