Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Driver Trainer to join the Transport team at Culina Logistics Milton Keynes. Reporting to the Transport Manager, you will be responsible for delivering driver-related training, evaluating, and monitoring the impact of training on Culina Drivers.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:00
Salary: £44,878.69 per annum
Key Duties of a Driver Trainer:
- Deliver in-house, periodic Driver CPC training.
- Conduct training on drivers’ hours, tachographs, WTD rules and regulations for new and existing drivers.
- Utilize Fueltek and Microlise performance statistics to proactively manage driver performance.
- Provide new starter training and inductions.
- Monitor and evaluate all training provided, ensuring it meets Culina’s needs.
- Report on driver ability and performance post-training, using coaching techniques as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of all driver training activities.
- Liaise with the Transport Management team to maximize training benefits and ensure relevance and best practices.
- Monitor driver standards and advise departments such as H&S, Transport, and HR.
- Complete risk assessments and establish safe working practices for Culina sites and delivery points.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Driver Trainer or Instructor.
- Class 1 license required.
- CPC certification is essential.
- Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and current drivers’ hours regulations.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Adaptability in work and training approaches.
- Strong communication skills for delivering clear information.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Effective management and communication skills.
- Advanced driving qualification is desirable.
- Excellent presentation skills.
