We’re Recruiting for a Driver Trainer

Location: Droitwich Depot within Muller Milk and Ingredients Distribution Business

As a Driver Trainer, your objective is to promote best practice in logistics, training, and driver development, maintaining high standards and supporting our transport teams to meet logistics benchmarks. We aim to create industry-leading, safe, and compliant driver training and licensing support through structured, comprehensive training, support, and development.

Shift Patterns

• 5 out of 7 – Night Shift (21:00 start)

Salary: £15.88 per hour plus premiums, including:

• Overtime at x1.125 basic rate
• Saturday at x1.125 basic rate
• Sunday at 1.5 basic rate
• Additional 14.25% uplift for unsociable hours between 6PM – 4AM
• Public Holidays at x1.5

Primary Focus

Support driver development and training, including:

• DCPC Delivery
• Fuel-efficient Driving
• Driver Compliance
• Measuring and improving KPIs

Qualifications and attributes include:

• HGV Class 1 Licence (LGV Cat C+E)
• Current CPC and digital driving card
• No more than 6 minor points on licence (no CDs, DDs, DRs, INs)
• Relevant experience is desirable but not essential
• Effective team player, self-motivated, reliable, positive attitude

Role & Responsibilities

• Pre-employment driver assessments
• Support safety campaigns and roadshows
• Deliver driver development and CPC training
• Conduct new driver inductions and refresher training
• Ensure compliance with procedures and GDPR
• Maintain accurate data in Tachomaster system
• Support safety and infringement remediation
• Communicate with compliance and transport teams
• Risk assessment of routes and locations
