Function: Distribution Training Team

Hours: Monday to Friday
Location: Can be based at any of the following sites: Bolton, Burnley, Howden, Squires Gate, Tuscany Park, and Widnes. The role requires coverage at these sites as needed.

Are you an exceptional Driver Trainer or Driver Assessor ready to elevate your career? Warburtons is seeking a passionate trainer to join our Training Team, supporting depots at Bolton, Burnley, Howden, Squires Gate, Tuscany Park, and Widnes. You can be based at any of these locations! The role is Monday to Friday with some flexibility required.

As a key member of our Distribution Training Team, you will deliver high-quality driver training and assessments for new and existing team members. You will promote safe, economical, and professional driving standards, embodying excellence in driving. This is an opportunity to contribute to our continuous improvement and ensure the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of our products to customers.

• Holder of a current Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) and a Class 1 license
• Experienced Driver Trainer or Driver Assessor
• Excellent knowledge of current Transport Legislation
• Willing to travel to other sites as needed (including Scotland, Yorkshire, and the North East)

The Recipe

This collaborative role involves partnering with the distribution team to onboard new drivers, ensuring compliance with company policies, health and safety, and legal requirements. You will also support ongoing training and development for drivers to help them excel.

We value personal development and offer opportunities to implement training schedules that support drivers pursuing higher licenses through the Warburtons Driver Academy.

Ideal candidates will have previous experience in Distribution, strong knowledge of transport legislation, driver regulations, the mobile working time directive, and the Highway Code. A current CPC, excellent communication skills, and a passion for coaching and development are essential.

Responsibilities include: Supporting drivers at Bolton, Burnley, Howden, Squires Gate, and Tuscany Park, as required by the business.
