Role: Driver / Trainee Water Sampler
Contract: 12 Week - Temporary to Permanent Contract
Start date: ASAP

Salary: £13.35 per hour = £25,700 per annum
Hours of work: 37 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 6 am - 9 pm
Location: Huntingdon
Company Vehicle: Supplied so you will start and finish your day from home

Are you looking to kick start your career in the scientific sector operating in a site-based sample collection capacity? If so, the Trainee Water Sampler role could be ideal for you!

This is a 12-week contract based from Huntingdon which will very likely move into a permanent position. This role would be ideal for a graduate or someone with an interest in water sampling who is looking to kick start their career or someone looking to gain experience in the Water / Scientific field or someone with a scientific or technical background that is good at following processes. Alternatively, any experience of performing any sort of site-based sample collection would make you ideal.

The role is based around collecting water samples in a field-based capacity in locations such as rivers, reservoirs, and new housing developments. Once you have collected the samples, you will need to log and store them individually as well as deliver them to a laboratory.

In order to be suitable for this role you MUST HAVE:

1. A full UK Drivers license (manual license)
2. Be comfortable driving a transit van
3. Have science, geology, water or similar related qualifications at A Level or degree level (advantageous but NOT ESSENTIAL)
4. Be based in or within 30 mins of Huntingdon
5. Be comfortable working unsupervised (once trained)
6. Be able to commit to working Monday - Friday 37 hours between 6 am - 6 pm (Flexible working available between these hours)

On offer is £13.35 p/h 37 hours per week = £25,700 per annum + overtime and benefits.
