About The Role

As a Driver Technician, you will support the operational delivery of the Safety and Communications business. You will travel to various locations to deliver and collect Safety and Communications hire equipment, demonstrate the equipment's operation to customers, and promote a positive company image. You will be the face of Sunbelt Rentals to our customers, requiring professional communication and presentation skills.

Your key responsibilities include:

  1. Delivering and collecting equipment to customers, completing checks and administrative tasks
  2. Ensuring safe and professional driving of company vehicles, conducting safety checks
  3. Issuing safety and communication equipment to clients onsite
  4. Demonstrating safety equipment operation to customers
  5. Diagnosing and repairing equipment as needed
  6. Promoting health and safety standards and equipment compliance
  7. Maintaining effective relationships within the operations team
  8. Performing pre-hire checks and functionality tests
  9. Enhancing Sunbelt Rentals' reputation through professionalism
  10. Completing reporting and administration in line with company standards
  11. Achieving KPIs in a dynamic environment
  12. Working under pressure while maintaining safety standards
  13. Promoting all Sunbelt Rentals services and seeking additional revenue opportunities
  14. Resolving customer issues promptly in collaboration with operations
  15. Conducting audits and compliance tasks

Requirements for the Driver Technician role:

  • A fully competent driver with a clean driving license
  • Desirable: C1E license; minimum: 3.5 Tonne (Class B)
  • Good communication skills to represent the company professionally
  • Numerate, detail-oriented, and articulate
  • Flexible working hours, including early starts and late finishes
  • Commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies
  • Experience with Safety and Communication equipment is desirable but not essential
  • Willingness to learn about our products and business
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with internal and external customers
  • Computer literacy, especially Microsoft Office
