About The Role

As a Driver Technician, you will support the operational delivery of the Safety and Communications business. You will travel regularly to different locations, responsible for the delivery and collection of Safety and Communications hire equipment, and demonstrate the technical equipment in operation to customers. As the face of Sunbelt Rentals to our customers, you will always be well presented, communicate professionally, and promote the positive image of the business.

Your key responsibilities include:

1. Delivering and collecting equipment to customers, completing relevant checks and administration
2. Ensuring all company vehicles are driven safely and conducting vehicle safety checks
3. Issuing safety and communication equipment to clients onsite
4. Demonstrating safety equipment in operation to customers during delivery
5. Diagnosing and fixing equipment as needed
6. Adhering to health and safety standards and promoting compliance
7. Maintaining effective relationships with the operation team
8. Undertaking pre-hire checks and functionality tests
9. Raising the company's profile through professional conduct
10. Completing all reporting and administrative tasks in line with company standards
11. Achieving key performance indicators in a dynamic environment
12. Maintaining company standards under pressure and ensuring safety
13. Promoting all Sunbelt Rentals services and benefits to clients, maximizing additional revenue
14. Resolving customer issues promptly in collaboration with operations
15. Conducting audit and compliance tasks

About You

We will provide training and support for your development. To succeed in this role, you should have:

• A fully competent driver with a clean driving license
• Desirable: C1E license; minimum: 3.5 Tonne (Class B)
• Good communication skills and a professional, friendly manner
• Numerate, detail-oriented, and articulate
• Flexible working hours, including early starts and late finishes
• A safety-first approach, complying with current H&S legislation and policies
• Experience in Safety and Communication is desirable but not essential
• Product knowledge and eagerness to learn about our range and business
• Exceptional communication skills for engaging with internal and external customers
• Computer literacy, especially Microsoft Office
