We have a rare opportunity to join our team as a Distribution Team Leader at our Regional Distribution Centre in Bristol.

Reporting to the Regional Distribution Centre Manager, the Team Leader is responsible for assisting in the daily operational management of drivers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the RDC Manager in managing a team of Delivery Drivers, providing relief for holiday, sickness, and training.
  • Loading and unloading trucks, delivering orders (furniture or General Office Products), and maintaining high customer service standards.
  • Assisting with unloading/breaking down pallets and sorting goods into route order.
  • Conducting random vehicle checks to ensure correct loading.
  • Performing weekly vehicle checks for damage and reporting faults or accidents promptly.
  • Participating in recruitment of new staff members.

Ideal candidate qualities:

  • Basic knowledge of Highway Code and regulations for delivery vehicle operation.
  • Basic understanding of tachographs and EU working time regulations.
  • Good supervisory and communication skills.
  • Ability to schedule, plan, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, as regular contact with customers is required.
