Job description

Driver (Support Worker)

Sheffield Day Centre - 30 hours per week

We offer a competitive rate of £12.21 per hour plus great benefits!

We are looking for friendly and welcoming individuals to join our team at Sheffield Day Centre. You will have the opportunity to enhance people's lives by providing creative, dynamic, and person-centered support to our service users in a Day Centre setting.

Your role involves collecting and returning service users from their homes to the day centre, supporting them to engage in community activities, assisting with personal care, and performing other duties as requested by the service manager.

Knowledge / Experience :

  • Hold a current, clean, and valid driving licence D1 unrestricted or a PSV licence; D1 restricted (car licence obtained before 01/01/1997) considered. Must have been driving for at least 5 years.
  • Ability to maintain accurate vehicle and user records.
  • Competent in undertaking daily and weekly vehicle checks and basic maintenance.

Working hours are typically between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm on weekdays. Infrequent evenings and weekends may be required for specific events.

Previous experience is desirable, but full training will be provided.

An enhanced adult DBS check will be required for successful applicants.
