Job description

We’re seeking a driver's mate/warehouse operative to work at our Wimborne Depot from now until September 26th.

As a dedicated member of the Distribution team, you'll be working both in the warehouse and out on the road as a driver's mate. In the warehouse, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring customer orders are completed accurately and in a timely manner while maintaining St Austell Brewery's reputation across the South West.

As a driver's mate, you'll be responsible for supporting the delivery of goods to our customers in a safe and timely manner. A keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering excellent service will ensure goods are kept in pristine condition every step of the way. Reliability is a priority in our distribution function.

About you:

• A full driving licence (car) is essential.
• A counterbalance forklift licence would be advantageous but isn't mandatory.
• Previous delivery experience, especially in multi-drop environments, is useful.
• A positive 'can do' attitude towards all tasks.
• Strong verbal and communication skills.
• You will be delivering kegs with an average weight of 63kg, so manual handling experience is preferable to ensure safe movement of heavy goods.

Additional info:

• The role is for a fixed term until 26th September 2024.
• Hours: 25.5 hours per week, worked across 3 days between Tuesday and Thursday.
• Warehouse work hours: 08:00 - 17:00.
• On-road work hours: 07:00 - 16:00.
• Additional hours may be available.

Please note: The FE1 bus service will cease on 23rd May; please plan alternative transport to the depot.
