Driver's Mate Position at The Best Connection Hanger Lane

A new driver's mate position has arisen at The Best Connection Hanger Lane, in partnership with John Lewis in Park Royal.

1. You will work alongside a van driver.
2. Deliver white goods (large electrical appliances such as refrigerators and washing machines).
3. Carry white goods through tight spaces and in and out of homes.
4. Heavy lifting will be expected throughout the day.
5. The job involves working 4 out of 6 days on a rota basis, from Monday to Saturday.
6. Call customers prior to delivery to notify them of your arrival or estimated arrival time.
7. Use a company device to input information throughout the day and communicate with the warehouse.
8. 45-minute break is deducted from working hours.
9. Shift hours are 11 hours (10.25 hours paid, 0.75 hours for rest).
10. AM shift: 06:00 to 17:00 (6am start on Saturday) - £12.95/hour.
11. Overtime after 41 hours: £19.42/hour.
12. PM shift: 10:30 to 21:30 (7am start on Saturday) - £13.50/hour.
13. Overtime after 41 hours: £20.25/hour.
14. With the PM shift, you may work Friday and Saturday, meaning you finish on Friday at 21:30 and are needed back Saturday at 07:00.

Requirements:

1. Previous experience as a driver's mate and in customer service.
2. High level of English proficiency.
3. Physically fit, as lifting white goods up multiple flights of stairs with your driver is required.
4. Must pass the company's assessment prior to starting, including an interview and manual handling assessment.
