Job summary

Matthew Clark is seeking a Driver's Mate at one of our regional depots to support our Drivers with deliveries to pubs, clubs, hotels and restaurants throughout the region.

Daily duties include loading/unloading, navigation, paperwork, and using handheld devices to capture order queries while keeping safety and a professional customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Able to handle heavy lifting and physical work.
• Willingness to take initiative and work in a team.
• Commitment to outstanding customer service.
• Good organisational and multi-tasking abilities.
• Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
• Experience with handheld devices for order capture is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist drivers with deliveries to pubs, clubs, hotels and restaurants.
• Handle loading/unloading and aid with tricky manoeuvres.
• Navigate routes and review orders for accuracy with customers.
• Maintain safety and professional conduct at all times.
• Complete paperwork and use handheld tech to capture orders.
• Work at one of the regional depots with good road access.

Join our team as a Driver's Mate at one of our regional depots, where you'll embark on daily adventures assisting our Drivers with deliveries to renowned pubs, clubs, hotels, and restaurants throughout the region. Due to the handling of alcohol, you must meet the minimum age requirement to handle these products and enter customer premises.

About the role

• Collaborating closely with our drivers to transport our beverages to various pubs, clubs, bars, and restaurants across the country, where each day brings new experiences.
• Engaging in a variety of tasks, including map navigation, assisting with loading, and unloading, aiding with tricky manoeuvres, and managing paperwork.
• Prioritizing safety above all else and maintaining a professional and friendly demeanour with customers.
• Operating from one of our numerous regional depots, all conveniently located with excellent road access and onsite parking facilities.
• Interacting with customers to review their delivery orders, ensuring accuracy, addressing any concerns they may have, and resolving issues such as missing items.
