Job summary

An environmental services company in Widnes is seeking a Class 2 driver to complete waste collection duties. Responsibilities include driving to collection points, ensuring vehicle maintenance, and complying with all regulations. The ideal candidate should possess a Class 2 licence, up-to-date CPC, and a Digi card. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Drive to planned collection locations and move/empty waste containers.
  • Lift bins of various sizes and weights.
  • Complete daily vehicle checks according to handbook.
  • Use onboard technology to log work notes.
  • Comply with traffic laws and regulations.
  • Ensure the carriageway is clean and spillages are addressed.

Job description
Salary:

OTE of up to £49,835.85 based on £38,675.58 per annum plus Veolia benefits – Weekly Pay. £5.00 Daily meal allowance. Single person allowance – Earn an extra £38.80 daily when you complete over 110 bins.

Hours:

48 hours per week – 4 a.m. starts finishing around 2:30 p.m. Working 5 out of 7 days (rota pattern). Some days you may be asked to start later so you must be flexible with working hours.

What you'll be doing:
  • Driving to planned collection locations and moving/emptying multiple waste containers.
  • Lifting bins of all weights and sizes so you are always on the go!
  • Completing daily checks of the vehicle as per our driver operator handbook.
  • Using onboard technology to complete work notes.
  • Complying with all traffic laws and legislation including security and weight of loads.
  • Ensuring that the carriageway is left in a clean condition and any spillages are cleaned up.
