Job summary

SUEZ in Newbold on Avon, England, seeks an LGV-qualified supervisor to lead driving teams, conduct safety rounds, and resolve issues as shifts commence. You will manage incidents, complete inspections, and ensure on-time service delivery while delivering inductions and toolbox talks.

The role requires an LGV CAT C licence and Driver CPC, with preferred supervisory experience and IOSH/First Aid training possible via the company.

Qualifications

• Essential supervisory experience.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• First Aid certificate (training can be provided).
• IOSH qualification (training can be provided).
• LGV licence (CAT C) and Driver CPC Card are essential.

Responsibilities

• Managing the Drivers pre-shift and at the start of the shift to ensure they commence their rounds safely and promptly whilst resolving any issues until normal office hours commence.
• Managing and investigating vehicle / personal incidents and any road traffic accidents.
• Investigating and resolving near miss / hazard reports.
• Weekly vehicle inspections / gate checks.
• Responsible for ensuring the downloading of VU and Drivers’ tacho cards and reviewing infringement reports with Drivers.
• Ensuring vehicles are presented for service on time and inspections (inc. LOLER) are completed as per company standards.
• Responsible for driver inductions and training, as well as delivering toolbox talks.
• Complete yearly driving and pre-employment driving assessments.
• Occasional cover for Driver sickness / absence as required (LGV licence is therefore essential).
