Join Badby Park in Daventry as a Driver & Maintenance Assistant, where you will be part of creating a well-presented and safe environment for some of the most vulnerable people in society.

As a Driver & Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the service's facilities are fit for purpose, driving staff and service users to local destinations, gardening, and regularly conducting audits to identify and repair faults, ensuring a safe environment for service users, staff, and visitors.

You will work alongside an established team, handling various maintenance tasks, liaising with contractors to support the upkeep of the service.

As a Driver & Maintenance Assistant, you will:

• Maintain the service, buildings, facilities, and equipment to ensure they are fit for purpose.
• Use good DIY skills to ensure the safety of service users.
• Participate in regular checks and maintenance.
• Assist in the repair and maintenance of all buildings.
• Liaise with a manager to report faults and defects.
• Participate in a 1-week on-call rota for emergency maintenance.
• Support contractors on site and complete all related paperwork and tool checks.
• Ensure vehicles are kept clean internally and externally.
• Monitor and report when vehicle maintenance is due.

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Comply with systems and procedures.
• Hold a UK driver’s license.
• Have previous experience in a maintenance role.
• Work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
• Show courtesy and respect to residents at all times.
• Attend and participate in training sessions and staff meetings.

You will work alongside clinical teams at Badby Park, caring for people with neurological illnesses, acquired brain and spinal cord injuries, delivering person-centered care where each individual is at the heart of everything you do.

This specialist inpatient neurological rehabilitation and complex care service boasts extensive facilities tailored to residents' specific needs, set in acres of stunning countryside on the outskirts of Daventry.
