Qualifications

Position Purpose:

To contribute to the safe and timely movement and transportation of clinical and industrial waste. Work as part of the transportation team to provide excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with EU Working Time Directive (EU hours) and ADR Transportation Regulations. Support Service Managers and Coordinators on a daily basis, including shift patterns of any 5 from 7 days, including legal holidays when required.

Key Job Activities:
  1. Carry out daily schedules according to agreed routes and timings.
  2. Complete documentation related to drivers’ hours and WTD, complying with legislation and corporate procedures.
  3. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as the Road Traffic Act, vehicle weight limits, speed limits, and digital Tachograph records.
  4. Adhere to all relevant ADR/Hazardous goods legislation.
  5. Follow company standard operating procedures.
  6. Act as a customer contact at delivery points, maintaining politeness and courtesy.
  7. Attend required work instructions, training, and staff meetings.
  8. Undertake ad-hoc duties with flexibility regarding working times and shifts.
  9. Report accidents or incidents promptly and complete all company documentation.
  10. Perform vehicle checks before use and report defects to Service Coordinators.
Education:

High School diploma or equivalent (GCSE).

Experience (EMEAA):

Previous driving experience preferred. Required: LGV Class 1 Licence, Driver CPC. Preferred: ADR Training.
