Job summary

Dorset Council is inviting applications for C1 (7.5T) drivers to join our friendly waste collection team. This role is Monday to Friday daytime, 37 hours, local routes, outdoors, and requires good understanding of Health and Safety.

You must hold a Category C1 (7.5T) licence, a current digital tachograph card, and a valid Drivers CPC qualification. We offer 27 days holiday rising to 32, a pension scheme, wellbeing support, health checks, a lease car salary sacrifice option, and training

About the role

We currently have an opportunity for C1(7.5T) Drivers to join our friendly collection team. Previous experience of working in the waste industry and good local knowledge will be an advantage.

What you will be doing

If you are looking for a driving role with variety, Monday to Friday daytime hours, 7.5 hour shifts, driving local routes, are physically fit and like working outdoors then this would be a great fit for you. We are looking for Drivers that have good understanding of Health and Safety. You must hold a minimum Category C1 (7.5T ) driving licence have a current digital tachograph card and evidence of a completed Drivers CPC qualification is essential.

Further Information

You will work 37 hours per week with early mornings and some weekend and bank holiday working. Opportunity to work overtime is available.
