Job summary

Plumb Centre, part of the Wolseley Group, is hiring a Delivery Driver 3.5t in Sittingbourne. You will deliver plumbing and heating supplies within an ~80 mile radius, handle manual loading, and support the branch with warehouse tasks as needed.

The role is permanent, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 07:00–16:00 with no weekend work. You need a full clean UK manual driving licence, good communication, basic IT skills for PDA devices, and a team-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Full clean UK Manual Driving Licence required.
• Previous multidrop driving experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with customers and colleagues.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with PDA devices.
• Team player willing to assist in warehouse to ensure smooth branch operations.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 3.5T van to deliver plumbing and heating supplies within an ~80 mile radius.
• Complete 10–30 deliveries daily, including new builds and residential sites.
• Carry out vehicle checks and routine maintenance checks.
• Load/unload deliveries, with manual handling of heavy items.
• Assist in warehouse tasks when back from deliveries to support stock checks and orders.

As a Delivery Driver 3.5t based in Sittingbourne you'll be responsible for:

• Driving a 3.5T van to deliver plumbing and heating supplies mainly within a 80 mile radius of the branch.
• The number of deliveries will vary day to day from 10 - 30 mainly to new build construction sites but also residential customers and other businesses.
• Carrying out vehicle checks.
• Loading and unloading deliveries, which involves manual handling of heavy items such as boilers, radiators toilets and sinks.
• Assisting in the warehouse if back from deliveries early with unloading stock, picking & packing orders, stock checks and general tidying.

This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 07:00am - 4:00pm (with flexibility). No weekend work required.
