Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking a hardworking driver labourer for an ongoing contract in Ossett. The role combines driving duties with physical site labour across local sites and properties, focusing on clearances, grounds maintenance, and ensuring safe work areas.

The ideal candidate will have a valid CSCS card, a full UK driving licence with a clean record, and be at least 25 years old, with experience in labouring or clearance work and full PPE provided.

Qualifications

• Valid CSCS Card (Essential).
• Full UK Driving Licence with a clean record (Essential).
• Must be aged 25 or over (Essential for insurer purposes).
• Experience in site labouring, grounds maintenance, or clearance work.
• Full PPE provided (hard hat, high-vis, boots).

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles to move tools, materials and waste between sites.
• Remove timber and fencing panels, posts and perimeter structures.
• Ground maintenance such as cutting back vegetation, hedges and bushes.
• Clear lofts, void properties and site storage areas.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised site; load vans/skips and manage waste disposal.

About the Role

We are currently recruiting a hardworking, versatile driver labourer for an ongoing contract role based out of Ossett.

This is a varied and hands-on position that combines driving duties with active physical labour across local sites and properties. Working as part of a busy team, you will be key to managing site clearances, maintaining grounds, and keeping work areas safe and secure.

Key Responsibilities

• Driving company vehicles to move tools, materials, and cleared waste between sites.
• Removing timber and metal fencing panels, posts, and perimeter structures.
• Ground maintenance duties including; cutting back overgrown vegetation, hedges, and bushes.
• Clearing out lofts, void properties, and site storage areas.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised site environment, loading vans/skips, and managing waste disposal.

Requirements

• Valid CSCS Card (Essential).
• Full UK Driving Licence with a clean driving record (Essential).
• Must be aged 25 or over (Essential - required for company vehicle insurance purposes).
• Previous experience in site labouring, grounds maintenance, or clearance work.
• Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis jacket/vest, steel toe cap boots).
• Strong physical fitness, reliable work ethic, and good timekeeping.
• Based in or easily commutable to Ossett (Wakefield / Dewsbury area).
