Job summary

ICare Group is seeking Home Care Assistants to support clients in their own homes around Manchester. This role requires a driving licence and access to a vehicle to travel between visits, with flexible hours from early morning to evening across the week.

You will be trained and supported to provide high-quality, respectful care in a community setting. Daily duties include personal care, home support, meal prep and monitoring health.

Qualifications

• Hold a full UK driving licence
• Have access to your own vehicle
• Be able to travel throughout the Manchester area
• Be willing to obtain Class 1 Business Insurance if not already in place
• Previous care experience welcome but not essential, as full training will be provided

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care with dignity, respect and compassion
• Supporting with washing, dressing and daily routines
• Assisting with meal preparation and nutrition
• Providing medication prompts and support in line with care plans
• Carrying out wellbeing and safety checks
• Supporting with light household tasks and maintaining a comfortable home environment
• Offering companionship and emotional support
• Building positive and professional relationships with the people you support
• Promoting independence, choice and person-centred care
• Working as part of a supportive and dedicated care team
• Travelling between clients' homes across the local community
