If you come from a construction / skilled or semi-skilled trades / Maintenance / Fitter / Installer background, then great. But if not, the organisation will also consider candidates that are handy, with good DIY skills and looking for a job that involves working with your hands. Although, please indicate this in your CV so they can establish your level of DIY abilities. Providing you meet these criteria the company will provide additional training and support.

SALARY: Competitive + Enhanced Overtime at Time and a Quarter (15 – 20 Hours on Average Overtime Available Each Month) + Quarterly Bonus Scheme + Benefits

LOCATION: Bracknell, Berkshire

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: Monday - Friday, 8.00am – 4.30pm (30-minute lunch break)

KEY REQUIREMENTS: You will need to be happy to work in a ‘hands on’ role on the tools when needed, being able to use your own initiative and be able to problem solve.

This role involves driving (Company Vehicle Provided) to customer sites to construct and deconstruct modular kitchens and bathrooms (additional training provided). Most of the time you will be in a team of 2 and you must enjoy working outside.

It is essential you have a full driver’s licence. The company will provide a vehicle which is used for daily use but is left in the depot overnight. Any experience towing trailers would be highly desirable. Although, additional training will be provided.

PLEASE NOTE: This job will involve driving 50% of your time. For longer journeys you will share the driving responsibility with your team mate.

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Driver & Handyperson / Skilled or Semi-Skilled Tradesperson / Kitchen & Bathroom Multi Trade Fitter who has experience working within a construction / maintenance environment or someone with good DIY skills with the ability to use hand and electric tools.

Working generally in a team of 2, as the Driver & Handyperson / Skilled or Semi-Skilled Tradesperson / Kitchen & Bathroom Multi Trade Fitter you will deliver, construct and deconstruct temporary modular kitchens and bathrooms at client sites throughout the country, primarily based in the South.

DUTIES

1. Driving to deliver and collect kitchen and bathroom products, in a timely manner
2. Construction, and decommission of modular bathroom and kitchens, in a timely manner
3. Carry out general maintenance and repairs on product set whilst at the customers property
4. Act as an ambassador for the business at all times when driving a company vehicle and wearing company uniform
5. Provide a first-class service

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

1. Full UK driving license is essential
2. Excellent customer service
3. Previous skilled or semi-skilled trades, construction, maintenance, fitter, installer or handyperson background is extremely desirable
4. The company will also consider candidates that are handy with good DIY skills and looking for a job that involves working with your hands. Although, please indicate this in your CV so we can establish your level of DIY abilities
5. Work well under pressure and be able to prioritise changing demands
6. Knowledge of tachograph rules and regulations (desirable but not essential)
7. Physically fit
8. Towing trailers (not essential training will be provided)
9. Work well in a team with a can-do attitude
10. Have a general knowledge of maintenance and problem solving
11. Flexibility to work away from home when required
