Job summary

Loomis UK Exeter is hiring Driver Guards to securely transport cash and valuables between client sites, ensuring high service standards and strict safety. You will join a national leader in cash handling with strong training and career development.

We offer full-time roles at 40 hours per week (part-time options available), with pay progression from £14.06 to £15.06 per hour on probation and opportunities for overtime. A supportive, professional team environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Must have a current UK driving licence.
• Must be able to pass criminal record, personal credit and ID checks.
• SIA licence required; existing licence qualifies for post-probation rate and £1,000 bonus.

Due to an increase in workload, our Exeter branchis seeking Delivery Drivers (known internally asDriver Guards).

Pay: £14.06 per hour, rising to £15.06 per hour after probation

Hours: 40 hours per week (Part time hours also available)

Our drivers are responsible for the safe handling and transportation of customer and company goods, whilst maintaining excellent levels of customer service.

The role

As a LoomisDriver Guard,you’ll have fantastic earning potential. Almost 10% of our drivers earn more than £45,000 and over 20% earn more than £40,000 (includes overtime** and shift pay).

**Overtime is readily available but not guaranteed.

As a Driver Guard, you'll play a key role in our service delivery, representing our business with professionalism and helping to maintain strong customer relationships.

You’ll be responsible for the secure transportation of cash and valuables between clients and destinations, ensuring high standards of service and safety. You’ll complete deliveries with precision, adhere to safety protocols, and perform vehicle checks before each journey to guarantee reliable service. This role requires the post holder to undertake deliveries to a variety of customer sites and can involve physically demanding activities such as walking, bending, lifting and carrying (up to 15kg) multiple times daily, in order to meet the performance standards expected by our customers. About you

This isn't your typical delivery job - to be successful as aDriver Guardat Loomis UK, you'll need to bring more than just driving skills. You'll be dependable, punctual, and great at communicating with customers, colleagues, and the public. Being a team player with a positive, "can-do" attitude is essential.You’ll also need to have a flexible approach to working hours (including weekends and bank holidays) and be happy to adapt to changing circumstances.

To enable you to carry out your role successfully, we will provide you with full training, your essential kit (including full uniform and Personal Protective Equipment where required), as well as continued development throughout your career with us.

We also have some specific security criteria that you will need to meet:

• You must be able to pass criminal record, personal credit and ID checks
• You must have verifiable 10-year employment/unemployment/educational history
• You must have a current UK driving licence
• You must have a approved to attain an SIA licence. Joining us with an existing SIA licence will automatically qualify you for the post-probation rate of pay, as well as a £1,000 bonus. If you don’t hold one already, you will be required to attain a licence (paid for by us) during your probation period
