Job summary

GAP Hire Solutions is seeking a Fitter/Driver to support our nationwide Survey Division. You will load, deliver and collect hire equipment to and from customer sites, perform safety checks and calibrations, and complete all necessary paperwork.

You’ll also maintain up-to-date knowledge of survey products and accessories and, where required, provide demonstrations. A Full UK Driving Licence is required; training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering and collecting equipment to/from customer sites.
• Knowledge of survey products and accessories preferred; training provided.
• Carry out safety checks and calibrate hire equipment before despatch; complete documentation.
• Excellent local area knowledge.
• Hold a Full UK Driving Licence.

About the role

Our team is the best in the industry – is it time for you to join us? Our nationwide Survey Division hires a range of equipment including Robotic and GPS equipment to the construction, utilities, and infrastructure sectors. The Fitter/Driver will ensure all basic Survey & Safety products are cleaned, checked, adjusted and certificated before they are hired out. You will keep up to date with the knowledge of products and full range of accessories and ensure all paperwork is completed. You will also be responsible for loading, delivery and collection of hire equipment to and from the customer site in a timely and professional manner, demonstration (if required) and completing any relevant checks and administration involved for the hire.

About You

• Experience working in a similar role delivering and collecting equipment to/from customer sites
• Knowledge of survey products and accessories would be beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided
• Ability to carry out comprehensive safety checks and calibration of all hire equipment before despatch and complete all necessary documentation.
• Excellent local area knowledge
• Full UK Drivers Licence
